Road Racing Awards
At the end of the season, we have an awards banquet where we give out our annual Road Racing awards. To be eligible for year-end awards you need Milwaukee Region SCCA as your region of record during the race season. Below are descriptions of the awards, as well as a list of all past recipients.
Susie Bonneau Memorial
Worker of the Year
Awarded to the Worker who shows evidence of promotions within licensed specialty positions, and always has a “Beyond the Call of Duty” attitude & effort. This award is selected by the Road Racing Committee. The recipient receives a desk clock with their name, as well as their name added to our traveling trophy.
Uihlein Award
This is a sportsmanship award given to a member for going above and beyond the call of duty. This can be for a specific incident or for the entire season’s contributions. Recipients are selected by the year’s Race Chairpersons and receive a Paul Revere bowl with their name, and their name added to our traveling trophy.
Kopiske Award
This award is presented to a driver who exemplifies what Road Racing is all about – entering in a variety of events, supporting a multitude of region events, and driving for the pure joy of competition, a “true” grassroots driver. This recipient is selected by the Road Racing Committee.
Janitor’s Cup
This is a fun award presented to the driver with the some of the most interesting, humorous and sometimes embarrassing stories of the trials and tribulations of being a race car driver. The previous year’s awardee selects the new recipient.
Rookie of the Year
