SUMMARY:Practice/Max Attack 1
DESCRIPTION:RallyCross is the most widespread and readily accessible form of extreme dirt motorsport in the Sports Car Club of America\, and the perfect place to see if you have what it takes to power slide your way to victory. Imagine a scaled down version of a rally stage laid out on a non-paved plot of land where the course is delineated by traffic cones instead of trees or rocks.  As a result\, you are able to drive the event in your everyday car on the weekend and still drive to work on Monday (after a good washing). \nThe Milwaukee Region will have helmets to loan and will assist the first-time competitors with entering the appropriate class\, making their way through technical inspection and finding their way around the course. Best of all\, it’s great fun! \nIf you are looking for more information head to our What is RallyCross? page and I Want to RallyCross for a list of  things you need to bring to an event and some tips to assist you along the way.

SUMMARY:2021 Virtual CenDiv Spring Training
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nHello\, and thank you for your interest in our first ever CenDiv virtual Spring Training. We thank you for taking time out of your Saturday to join us. While this isn’t how we wanted to get together\, as the SCCA National Convention showed\, it can be fun and informative-just different. \nWe will begin on Saturday\, March 20 at 8:00AM\, with a general session for everyone\, that will include updates from us\, an update on 2022 Spring Training from Paula Spencer\, and a presentation from Chris Robbins from the national staff. \nAround 9:30ish (not time certain)\, we will separate into different “rooms”: F&C\, Registration\, Tech\, Timing & Scoring\, Stewards\, Solo (including a solo safety steward training from Aruch)\, and Track Days/Trials. The CenDiv\, Inc. board meeting (open to all) will begin at Noon in it’s own room. If there is a desire for any more rooms\, please let Kevin know at kcoulter@comcast.net by Wednesday night. Note that you can change what room you are in whenever you would like. We anticipate most sessions will be done by Noon. \nThe Zoom connection information is at the end of this message. If you have not installed Zoom before\, downloads for almost any device are available at https://zoom.us/download. If you have Zoom installed already\, please be sure it is the latest version by updating apps on your device\, or\, if the PC version\, start Zoom\, click on your initials in the upper right hand corner\, and then select Check for Updates. Being current is needed to join rooms. To pick or change a room\, on the bottom of your Zoom window\, is a button labelled “Breakout rooms”. Go there\, and pick the room you want. You go back there if you want to leave that room\, and then join another. Finally\, if you are wanting to join by phone\, it will put you automatically into the main meeting. You can then be “assigned” rooms for the breakouts. Again\, please email Kevin if you would like to do this no later than Wednesday. \nThank you. Please let us know if you have any questions. \nKevin Coulter\nCentral Division\nExecutive Steward\nkcoulter@comcast.net \nPeter Jankovskis\nArea 5 Director\nSCCA\, Inc. SUMMARY:2020 SCCA Runoffs
DESCRIPTION:Continuing the recent tradition of moving the Sports Car Club of America® annual National Championship to a different region of the country each year\, the SCCA® announced today that the Runoffs® will return in 2020 to Elkhart Lake\, Wisconsin\, and Road America‘s beautiful 4.048-mile\, 14-turn circuit.\n\nThe 57th SCCA National Championship Runoffs is scheduled to take place Oct. 5-11\, 2020\, at the storied track located midway between Milwaukee and Green Bay\, Wisconsin. The Runoffs last visited the Midwest in 2017 during a record-breaking event that included nearly 1\,000 entries and took place on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.\n\nPreviously\, the Runoffs called Road America “home” from 2009 to 2013\, noted SCCA Vice President/COO Eric Prill. Since the last Road America Runoffs\, the facility has continued to develop in multiple ways.\n\n“Some of the most memorable races in SCCA history have occurred at Road America\, a track that requires a blend of car performance\, skill and courage\,” Prill said. “We look forward to returning in the fall of 2020 to beautiful Elkhart Lake. From the new Paddock Shop to new restroom and shower locations\, and a new trail allowing access to fantastic spectating from The Kink to Canada Corner\, Road America continues to enhance the participant\, worker and fan experience.”\n\nMike Kertscher\, Road America’s Senior Vice President\, also noted the venue’s long history with the Sports Car Club of America®. The track has continually hosted the WeatherTech Chicago Region June Sprints since 1956\, an event that once helped determine SCCA Road Racing Champions prior to creation of the Runoffs. That makes the June Sprints one of the longest\, consecutively held road races in the United States.\n\n“The SCCA Runoffs symbolizes the true essence of sports car racing\,” Kertscher said. “Road America has hosted the SCCA Runoffs for many years and we are very pleased to see it return to America’s National Park of Speed at a time of year when the fall colors seem to dance around the beautiful race cars and the mild weather creates the perfect conditions for exceptional racing. The SCCA is one of the cornerstones of Road America’s history\, plus it is a great platform for amateur road racers and we are proud to be a part of the crowning of National Champions.”\n\nThe Runoffs\, which caps the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing program each year\, has evolved into what is now commonly agreed to be the pinnacle of American motorsports. Since 1964\, the SCCA has crowned National Champions through the winner-take-all\, single race Runoffs format. Currently\, the Runoffs crowns national champions across 28 separate classes. Racing is preceded by a handful of test days\, followed by multi-day qualifying to identify Tire Rack Pole Award winners.\n\nWhile the SCCA looks forward to the 57th Runoffs at Road America in 2020\, racers are currently qualifying for the 2018 Runoffs being held for the first time ever October 16-21 at Sonoma Raceway in California. In 2019\, the Runoffs are scheduled to make a first-ever visit to VIRginia International Raceway October 8-13\, 2019\, at the venue located along the border of Virginia and North Carolina.\n\nAbout Sports Car Club of America:\nThe Sports Car Club of America®\, Inc.\, founded in 1944\, is a 67\,500-member motorsports organization that incorporates all facets of autocross\, rally and road racing at both Club and professional levels. With headquarters in Topeka\, Kansas\, the SCCA annually sanctions over 2\,000 events through its 116 Regions and subsidiary divisions. Much of the SCCA’s activities are made possible with support from the following Official Partners: Chevrolet\, the Official Truck of the SCCA; Hawk Performance\, the Official Brake Products of SCCA; Mobil 1\, the Official Oil of SCCA; Sunoco\, the Official Fuel of SCCA; and Tire Rack\, the Official Tire Retailer of SCCA. To learn more\, please visit www.scca.com.\n\nAbout Road America:\nEstablished in 1955\, Road America is located midway between Milwaukee and Green Bay in Elkhart Lake\, Wisconsin. The world’s best racers have competed at this legendary four-mile\, 14-turn road circuit for 60 years. The 640-acre\, park-like grounds offer amazing viewing opportunities\, fantastic concessions and high-speed excitement to hundreds of thousands of spectators each year. In addition to public race weekends\, Road America offers a variety of group event programs\, the CTECH Manufacturing Motorplex for karting and supermoto\, and the Road America Motorcycle and Advanced Driving Schools. SUMMARY:Teen Driving School - Tire Rack Street Survival
DESCRIPTION:The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a “hands-on” driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars\, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. They will understand why they should always wear their own seat belts\, and why they should insist that their passengers wear seat belts\, too. \nIt’s about more than driving – it’s about LIVING! \nThree parents\, including Scott Goodyear\, former Indy Car Champion\, share their perspectives in this video. \nSee our FAQ page at: www.streetsurvival.org/frequently-asked-questions.php

DESCRIPTION:Event race packet may be found here:\nhttps://scca-milwaukee.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/2020CatInTheKettleRacePacket.pdf \nAs all of us are aware\, COVID-19 has upended racing throughout the country and is causing widespread cancellations and postponements. \nRoad America requested a change to their 2020 schedule\, which included the original July 11-12 date for the Milwaukee Region Cat Majors.  To decrease the impact to the SCCA U.S. Majors Tour Northern Conference schedule\, Chicago Region has graciously agreed to allow the Cat Majors event to be held on the weekend originally scheduled for their Kettle Moraine Double Divisional. \nAs such\, Milwaukee and Chicago Regions will be joining forces to co-host the Cat in the Kettle Majors and Restricted Regional event at Road America on the weekend of August 15-16. \nStay tuned for more details to be announced soon! \nMilwaukee Region SCCA & Chicago Region SCCA

SUMMARY:RallyX Event 6 REDUX
DESCRIPTION:Make-up date for Event 6 on August 1-2! \nSCHEDULING NOTE: We are working with the county to allow us to run this event on Saturday night. The typical Sunday schedule will be the back-up plan. We will send an email blast with an updated event schedule once we have confirmed the day. \nSHELTER-IN-PLACE NOTE: As some of you are aware\, Illinois is still under Phase 4 of their shelter-in-place plan which allows for gatherings of up to 50 people.  To comply with this order we are continuing the ban on all spectators and allowing only one non-registered guest per registered driver. \nINITIALLY\, THERE WILL BE A 25 DRIVER CAP FOR THIS EVENT.  During registration you will be asked if you are bringing one guest. If you choose not to bring a guest then that spot will become available for another registered driver. There will be a potential maximum of 45 registered drivers. \nWe know many of you travel somewhat far to attend these events with a friend or significant others and feel that this is the fairest way to allow a majority of people to race without completely banning family and friends. \n \n \nRallyCross is the most widespread and readily accessible form of extreme dirt motorsport in the Sports Car Club of America\, and the perfect place to see if you have what it takes to power slide your way to victory. SUMMARY:RallyX Event 5

DESCRIPTION:This event has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic\, we will provide information on rescheduling as we know more. \nJoin your fellow RoadRally enthusiasts for this 180 mile time-speed-distance National Tour RoadRally in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. You and your rally partner will enjoy a scenic rally adventure through the marvelous country roads north of Madison\, Wisconsin. This rally will use the Richta GPS heckpoint app. Contestants will download the app to their smartphone in advance of the rally. During the rally this app will use the GPS signals and automatically record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then display your score to you!! No more waiting until the rally is over to find out how you did. A bonus feature of this Richta GPS checkpoint system is that we can provide you with many more checkpoints and more challenging checkpoint locations.
