DESCRIPTION:Make-up date for Event 6 on August 1-2! \nSCHEDULING NOTE: We are working with the county to allow us to run this event on Saturday night. The typical Sunday schedule will be the back-up plan. We will send an email blast with an updated event schedule once we have confirmed the day. \nSHELTER-IN-PLACE NOTE: As some of you are aware\, Illinois is still under Phase 4 of their shelter-in-place plan which allows for gatherings of up to 50 people.  To comply with this order we are continuing the ban on all spectators and allowing only one non-registered guest per registered driver. \nINITIALLY\, THERE WILL BE A 25 DRIVER CAP FOR THIS EVENT.  During registration you will be asked if you are bringing one guest. If you choose not to bring a guest then that spot will become available for another registered driver. There will be a potential maximum of 45 registered drivers. \nWe know many of you travel somewhat far to attend these events with a friend or significant others and feel that this is the fairest way to allow a majority of people to race without completely banning family and friends. \n \n \nRallyCross is the most widespread and readily accessible form of extreme dirt motorsport in the Sports Car Club of America\, and the perfect place to see if you have what it takes to power slide your way to victory. Imagine a scaled down version of a rally stage laid out on a non-paved plot of land where the course is delineated by traffic cones instead of trees or rocks.  As a result\, you are able to drive the event in your everyday car on the weekend and still drive to work on Monday (after a good washing). \nThe Milwaukee Region will have helmets to loan and will assist the first-time competitors with entering the appropriate class\, making their way through technical inspection and finding their way around the course. SUMMARY:Spring Scamper - Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for this 4 hour\, 100 mile time-speed-distance road rally. You and a partner (driver and navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads west of Madison\, Wisconsin. This is a “Tour” type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \nWe’ll be using the new\, state-of-the-art Richta GPS checkpoint system to record your arrival time at each checkpoint. Once you register\, you’ll receive information on how to download a custom app to your smartphone. You’ll keep this app open while you run the rally and it will use the GPS signal from your device to record your arrival time at each checkpoint. Once you pass a checkpoint\, the app will automatically calculate your score for that checkpoint and display it to you! No more waiting for the end of the rally to see how you did. DESCRIPTION:This event has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic\, we will provide information on rescheduling as we know more. \nJoin your fellow RoadRally enthusiasts for this 180 mile time-speed-distance National Tour RoadRally in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. You and your rally partner will enjoy a scenic rally adventure through the marvelous country roads north of Madison\, Wisconsin. This rally will use the Richta GPS heckpoint app. Contestants will download the app to their smartphone in advance of the rally. During the rally this app will use the GPS signals and automatically record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then display your score to you!! No more waiting until the rally is over to find out how you did. A bonus feature of this Richta GPS checkpoint system is that we can provide you with many more checkpoints and more challenging checkpoint locations. Expect at least 100 checkpoints in this 180 mile rally. Contestants will need a smartphone in order to run this event. If you’re planning to run another rally app during the event\, you’ll need to do that on a separate device. The Milwaukee Track Days series is a great way to enjoy performance driving in your street car on real racing tracks in a controlled environment. The Milwaukee Track Day / Time Trial series events are held at locations such as Blackhawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit\, IL\, the road course at the Historic Milwaukee Mile\, and the world famous Road America in Elkhart Lake\, Wisconsin. \nTrack Day\nWith close personal driving instruction\, and restricted passing conditions\, the Milwaukee Track Day series is a great way to legally test the limits of your car without worrying about contact with other vehicles on the track. \nTime Trial\nIf you are looking for a more competitive experience our Time Trial program is for you\, this expands on our Track Day model to include classing and timing of laps. DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for this 4 hour\, 110 mile time-speed-distance road rally. You and a partner (driver and navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads west of Milwaukee\, Wisconsin. This is a “Tour” type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. DESCRIPTION:“Solo®” is the brand name for SCCA® Autocrossing and on paper it seems very simple – use traffic cones to make a mini-roadcourse in a large parking lot\, unused airport tarmac\, or portions of racetracks and see who can drive it the quickest without hitting any cones or going off course. DESCRIPTION:RallyCross is the most widespread and readily accessible form of extreme dirt motorsport in the Sports Car Club of America\, and the perfect place to see if you have what it takes to power slide your way to victory. Imagine a scaled down version of a rally stage laid out on a non-paved plot of land where the course is delineated by traffic cones instead of trees or rocks.  As a result\, you are able to drive the event in your everyday car on the weekend and still drive to work on Monday (after a good washing). \nThe Milwaukee Region will have helmets to loan and will assist the first-time competitors with entering the appropriate class\, making their way through technical inspection and finding their way around the course.
