SUMMARY:Spring Scamper Car Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee Region of SCCA invites you to join us on Sunday\, April 12\, 2026 for our Spring Scamper Car Rally—a fun and friendly way to welcome Spring. This year’s rally course will take contestants on a 4-hour\, 110-mile tour of the scenic country roads southwest of Madison\, Wisconsin. We’ll start in Verona (about 10 miles southwest of Madison) and finish nearby at the Stone Porch Alehouse. \nWe’re introducing a new feature that adds a fresh element of interest and surprise to the rally: \nWhenever you pass a snake arrow sign (  or  )\, you should automatically increase your assigned average speed by 3 mph. You’ll have to stay alert and watch for these signs. \nAs is our tradition\, Spring Scamper is a charity fundraising rally benefiting the Dane County Humane Society. This wonderful animal welfare organization provides medical care and finds “furever” homes for thousands of dogs\, cats\, and other critters each year. \nThe entry fee is $40 per team\, with two people required per team. You do not need to be an SCCA member to participate\, and any street-legal car is welcome.  Registration is now open at msreg.com/SpringScamper2026.  There is a 30 car limit for the rally. \nBring that car you love to drive and come enjoy a great day of springtime rallying. \nBest regards\, \nJim Crittenden\nSpring Scamper Rallymaster

We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars\, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves.
