SUMMARY:Roads Scamper National Tour - Road Rallye
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow RoadRally enthusiasts for this 180 mile time-speed-distance National Tour RoadRally in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside.  You and your rally partner will enjoy a scenic rally adventure through the marvelous country roads north of Madison\, Wisconsin.  This rally will use the Richta GPS checkpoint app.  Contestants will download the app to their smartphone in advance of the rally.  During the rally this app will use the GPS signals and automatically record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then display your score to you!!  No more waiting until the rally is over to find out how you did.  A bonus feature of this Richta GPS checkpoint system is that we can provide you with many more checkpoints and more challenging checkpoint locations.  Expect at least 100 checkpoints in this 180 mile rally. Contestants will need a smartphone in order to run this event.  If you’re planning to run another rally app during the event\, you’ll need to do that on a separate device.  The Richta GPS checkpoint app needs to be the only app running on your phone during the rally. \nThis is a tour type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps.  There are no unpaved roads on the Roads Scamper rally route. \nThere is a 25 car limit on this rally and we expect it will sell out. \nStarting location:  Country Inn and Suites\, 2212 Deming Way\, Middleton\, Wisconsin. \nSchedule:\nCheck-in – 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM Sunday\, June 5\, 2022 \nFirst Car Off – 8:31 AM\nFirst Car Finished – Approx 3:45 pm at the Dorf Haus Restaurant\, Roxbury\, WI. \nCost:  $85/car for SCCA members\,  $95/car if neither contestant is an SCCA member\, 2 people per car required. \nPre-registration is required for this event.  General Instructions will be emailed to all registered contestants 2 weeks prior to the event. \nWant further information on Roads Scamper?  Contact the rallymaster:  Jim Crittenden  at   james.a.crittenden@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Spring Training
DESCRIPTION:It is that time of year for us to get ready for the upcoming season.  For event details and registration please head to msreg.com/CenDivST2022. \n  \nHotel Block: \nThe hotel block for room reservations is now available for you to snag your room for the March 18-20\, 2022 Spring Training at the Best Western Plus Milwaukee Airport Hotel and Conference Center\, 5105 S. Howell Ave\, Milwaukee\, WI  53207. \nThe rate for this year is $99.00 + tax and must be guaranteed with a personal credit card.  Please make your reservation through the following link rather than the BW website so we can ensure that we get you in the block.  If you find a less expensive rate\, please put in your notes that you are part of the SCCA group; it is important that we are able to track the number of rooms used. There is a cut-off date of Feb. 25\, 2022 to guarantee that you are in the block at the contracted rate. \nI have been advised that CENDIV is unable to pay for as many rooms as in the past.  Everyone should assume that it will be a self-pay.  This is the link that you should use: https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotel-rooms.50056.html?groupId=J50GQ9U2 \nIf you have special needs/wants as to type or location of a room to meet ADA requirements or your personal requests we ask that you call the hotel directly at 414-769-2100\, identify the SCCA room block and request what you want.  We have only contracted for king or double queen beds for two nights March 18\, 19.  Special needs rooms will not be held for us unless you make the personal request. There is still only the one elevator located past the pool toward the back of the property. \nThe buffet breakfast is available and included in your room reservation.  Those not staying at the hotel will have Saturday and Sunday (for stewards) breakfast covered through CENDIV.  The Aviator Bar & Grill has reopened\, although I am not sure what it offers\, we will let you know at a later date. \nIf you have questions regarding the hotel\, please address them to Sunshine Leith in the Sales Office of the hotel or to me. \n  \nPaula Spencer\nSpring Training Coordinator

SUMMARY:Mini Monte Regional Tour
DESCRIPTION:Come joint Milwaukee Region SCCA for a rallye.  We will be exploring the northern Kettle Moraine forest area of Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties.  We will also pass by Road America race track\, and run some of the original Elkhart Lake street race course of the early 1950s. \nThis event will be a bit different than our other rallyes in that we will be using Monte Carlo style timing and route instructions.  Monte Carlo timing refers to the system used in the classic European rallyes of the 1950s.  In a Monte Carlo\, you are not assigned an average speed (CAST).  Instead\, all the controls are shown on the route instructions\, along with the official mileage and an arrival time for car 0.  The contestant needs to determine the proper speed to travel in order to pass the control at the right time.  Penalties will be assessed at 1 point per second early or late\, up to a maximum of 1 minute (60 points).  You can expect to see many controls on the route\, including some gauntlets where several controls happen very close together. \nThe Kettle Moraine is very scenic and should provide for a nice day on some wonderful winding roads.  We hope to see you there. \n  \nDate:  August 21\, 2021\nRegistration:  9:00 AM\nDrivers School: 10:30 AM\nFirst Car Starts:  11:01 AM\nFinish around 4 PM\nCost: $40/car\nLocation: Deer Trace Kohler Shopping Center \nWI28 and I-43 in Sheboygan\, WI (near Home Depot) \nGPS 43.71607473761796\, -87.76527373030312 \n  \nRegister at:  www.msreg.com/MonteRallye21

SUMMARY:2021 Virtual CenDiv Spring Training
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nHello\, and thank you for your interest in our first ever CenDiv virtual Spring Training. We thank you for taking time out of your Saturday to join us. While this isn’t how we wanted to get together\, as the SCCA National Convention showed\, it can be fun and informative-just different. \nWe will begin on Saturday\, March 20 at 8:00AM\, with a general session for everyone\, that will include updates from us\, an update on 2022 Spring Training from Paula Spencer\, and a presentation from Chris Robbins from the national staff. \nAround 9:30ish (not time certain)\, we will separate into different “rooms”: F&C\, Registration\, Tech\, Timing & Scoring\, Stewards\, Solo (including a solo safety steward training from Aruch)\, and Track Days/Trials. The CenDiv\, Inc. board meeting (open to all) will begin at Noon in it’s own room. If there is a desire for any more rooms\, please let Kevin know at kcoulter@comcast.net by Wednesday night. Note that you can change what room you are in whenever you would like. We anticipate most sessions will be done by Noon. \nThe Zoom connection information is at the end of this message. If you have not installed Zoom before\, downloads for almost any device are available at https://zoom.us/download. If you have Zoom installed already\, please be sure it is the latest version by updating apps on your device\, or\, if the PC version\, start Zoom\, click on your initials in the upper right hand corner\, and then select Check for Updates. Being current is needed to join rooms. To pick or change a room\, on the bottom of your Zoom window\, is a button labelled “Breakout rooms”. Go there\, and pick the room you want. You go back there if you want to leave that room\, and then join another. Finally\, if you are wanting to join by phone\, it will put you automatically into the main meeting. You can then be “assigned” rooms for the breakouts. Again\, please email Kevin if you would like to do this no later than Wednesday. \nThank you. Please let us know if you have any questions. \nKevin Coulter\nCentral Division\nExecutive Steward\nkcoulter@comcast.net \nPeter Jankovskis\nArea 5 Director\nSCCA\, Inc.
