DESCRIPTION:Interested in going to the Chicago Auto Show?  JOIN US!  Milwaukee Region SCCA has chartered a bus for transporation to/from the Chicago Auto Show on Saturday\, February 15.  Save time\, money\, and the hassle of  driving\, all while enjoying the company of friends! \nYou will receive transportation and admission into the show!  Registration is open to SCCA members (and one guest) through February 9th.  If there are still seats available\, we will open registration to non-members on February 10th.  REGISTER HERE on MotorsportReg. \nCOST: \n  $40 each for Annual SCCA Members and Guest \n  $45 each for Non-Member and Guest \nDeparture Times: \n  8:00am – Promptly from Goerke’s Corner Park & Ride (Bluemound & Barker Road) for the College Ave Park & Ride. \n  8:45am – West College Avenue Park & Ride (1909 College Ave. Milwaukee\, WI) for McCormick Place (~10:15am arrival time). \n  4:30pm – Depart promptly from McCormick Place\, approximate return times are 6pm at College Ave and 6:45pm at Goerke’s Corner. \n  \nSpaces are limited\, so register soon to allow us to get an accurate count for the bus. \nSmall coolers are allowed on the bus.  No carry-ins at the show allowed and all bags are subject to search. SUMMARY:2018 SCCA Tire Rack Solo Nationals
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Autocross National Championship – known as “Solo Nationals” – is where more than 1\,200 autocrossers come from across the country to compete and meet in one of the largest motorsports gatherings on the planet and the premier SCCA® autocross competition and social event of the year. \nTo crown a national champion in each class\, drivers get three runs each on two different courses with the fastest times from each course combined for the official results. This magnitude of drivers and runs takes four days to complete with half of the drivers running on Tuesday/Wednesday of the week and the other half running Thursday/Friday. Along the way drivers\, friends\, and crew enjoy a welcome party\, tailgating late into the night a practice course and two awards banquets. \nFor the autocrosser serious about speed or socializing\, the SCCA Solo Nationals is the ultimate destination. \nMost recently Solo Nationals calls Lincoln\, Nebraska home\, but it has more than forty-five years of history and multiple locations where many have come to hang out with fellow autocrossers and compete for a coveted “jacket” which signifies a national champion.

SUMMARY:Solo Driver School (rescheduled date)
DESCRIPTION:The Solo driver’s school will begin with a classroom session at Kelly’s Bleacher’s\, 5218 W. Bluemound Rd. Milwaukee\, WI. This will cover the basics of autocrossing\, including safety\, car classes and course working. We then get into reading a course map\, car control techniques and we critique some in-car videos. \nLunch is included at Kelly’s Bleachers about 11am. \nFollowing lunch the group heads to Miller Park for the hands-on portion of the school. The afternoon session is mock version of a standard autocross event. Each student is paired with an instructor who will ride along with you to help applying the techniques learned in the classroom and walk you though the various working positions at the event. \nAll of this sets you up to not only become a better driver\, but also gives you a good understand of a standard event so you are more comfortable for when you come out to future events. \nAnnual SCCA membership is NOT required\, a weekend membership is included in the price.
